Top 10 Places To Elope In Vietnam

With endless possibilities for adventure and unforgettable experiences, Vietnam is the perfect place to elope without all the fuss.

I’ve researched every corner of Vietnam (and have photographed in some of these places) to bring you the top 10 elopement spots that will make your heart skip a beat. I’ve also carefully curated this list, starting from the most romantic vacation elopements to the most adrenaline-pumping adventure elopements. Now let’s get started.

Top best places to elope in Vietnam are:

1. PHU QUOC ISLAND

Phu Quoc has everything you need for a dreamy destination elopement. The island is like a tropical paradise, complete with sandy beaches that go on for days, turquoise waters that make you want to dive right in, and sunsets that will take your breath away (best place to enjoy the sunset in Vietnam for sure).

Phu Quoc is the most popular spot in Vietnam where it boasts luxurious resorts, fancy restaurants, and spa treatments that will leave you feeling like royalty. But it isn’t just for the fancy folks. It’s also home to untouched beaches, lush forests and budget-friendly accommodations that are perfect for all of you.

2. CON DAO ISLAND

For couples who crave privacy and tranquility, Con Dao is the ultimate hideaway. Con Dao island is like a real-life postcard, with its stunning beauty that will make you question if it’s even real. Unlike its popular cousin Phu Quoc island, Con Dao is not as crowded with tourists, making it the perfect spot for a quiet and intimate wedding. The island offers top-notch accommodations, spa services, and mouth-watering cuisine. And if you’re feeling adventurous, there are plenty of activities to keep you entertained, from trekking through lush forests to diving in crystal clear waters

3. DA NANG & HOI AN

Da Nang city is a happening hotspot in Vietnam, both local and international couples are coming here to tie the knot. Hoi An is a charming ancient town only 45 minute-drive from Da Nang. Getting married in Da Nang or Hoi An is a piece of cake. You’ll find plenty of top-notch wedding vendors in the area who know how to make your special day even more special.

For a unique experience, imagine saying “I do” on a misty morning at the Golden Bridge in Ba Na Hills or under a deer-shaped Banyan Tree in Son Tra Peninsula? It’s like something out of a fairytale. There are also plenty of activities you can do while you’re in this beautiful area of Vietnam.

4. PHU YEN & QUY NHON

These two coastal provinces are located right next to each other with the similarities of lagoons, rocky and sandy beaches, stunning corals, charming islets, mountains, lakes, hot springs, and even some cultural sites.

The differentiation of Phu Yen is that it’s home to a beautiful basalt rock column (if you’re familiar with the basalt rock column of Giant’s Causeway in Ireland or Svartifoss in Iceland). One of its shining stars is the Da Dia reef, where you can marvel at basalt rock columns that were formed a whopping 200 million years ago.

Quy Nhon city has made it onto the list of top 50 city beaches in the world because of its scenery, accommodations, cuisine & hospitality.

5. HA LONG BAY

Halong Bay is like no other place on Earth and it’s the perfect spot for your dream wedding. And let’s be real, who wouldn’t want to get married in such a stunning location? For the ultimate Halong Bay experience, I’d suggest holding your ceremony and celebration on a romantic cruise. The views will be out of this world.

But if you’re feeling more adventurous and still soak in the beauty of Halong Bay. Just take a short trek up Bai Tho Mountain, you’ve got yourself a unique and breathtaking ceremony spot. Think of all the cool photos you’ll get with that epic backdrop.

6. CAO BANG

Cao Bang is the place to be if you want to witness some seriously stunning sights. Ban Gioc waterfall is the star of the show – it’s basically a celebrity in Vietnam and the fourth biggest waterfall on the planet. There’s more! You can also check out Angel Eye mountain, Thang Hen Lake, and Tiger Cave – all of which are totally one-of-a-kind and totally awesome. If you’re planning to elope in Vietnam and need a jaw-dropping backdrop for your ceremony, Cao Bang is a no-brainer. Trust me, you won’t regret adding it to your list.

7. NINH THUAN

If you’re looking for a hidden gem in Vietnam, Ninh Thuan is the place to be. This place has got some seriously jaw-dropping scenery that will satisfy both your adventurous and luxurious sides

For all you adventure-loving couples out there, Nui Chua National Park is the perfect spot for an elopement. You’ll feel like you’re in a movie as you trek through mountains, streams, and jungles. And if you want a ceremony with a view, Rock Park is where it’s at. The sunrise here is unbeatable. Plus, there are so many activities to choose from – windsurfing, sand surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving – you name it. Or, if you’re more of a beach bum, just chill by the coast and soak up some sun.

But if you’re looking for a perfect retreat. Ninh Thuan also boasts the most luxurious resort in Vietnam Amanoi (they were smart enough to pick a spot with the most stunning views). We are talking about a wedding with a fab view & luxurious experience!

And if you want to add some epicness to your couple portraits, make sure to check out Hang Rai Cave (the Cave of Otters). This ancient coral reef turned limestone surface is the perfect backdrop for some gorgeous photos.

8. K50 WATERFALL

My ultimate adventure elopement spot in Vietnam will be the majestic K50 Waterfall. This epic 50-meter-tall waterfall is tucked away in the Kon Chu Rang Nature Reserve and getting there is no easy feat. We’re talking about a 17-kilometer trek through the forest! But the journey is worth it for the jaw-dropping views and adrenaline rush of standing at the base of this majestic waterfall.

9. LAO CAI

Looking for wild, beautiful scenery & adventure elopement in Vietnam? Look no further than Lao Cai! This place has got it all – from spectacular rice terraces in Sapa to breathtaking mountain Bach Moc Luong Tu (Vietnam’s fourth highest mountain peak).

Lao Cai also has majestic waterfalls and charming villages where different ethnic tribes reside that offers a diverse cultural experience of Vietnam.

10. QUANG BINH

Quang Binh is like the Disneyland of caves. And the star attraction? Son Doong, the biggest cave in the whole wide world! It’s seriously mind-blowing. But that’s not all this place has to offer. Quang Binh is a paradise for nature lovers where the scenery in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park is like nowhere else in Vietnam. It has untouched landscapes, towering limestone mountains, and many more mysterious caves such as Tu Lan, To Mo, Hang Tien, etc…just waiting to be explored. There are more than 20 caves in the Tu Lan cave system. If you’re an adrenaline junkie looking for the ultimate adventure in Vietnam, then Quang Binh is the place to be. Trust me, getting eloped here will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you’ll never forget.
